bird base swallows… no cutting!

My earlier post features a model of the swallow bird which I created from a waterbomb base. The popular traditional model starts with the bird base, but this involves cutting a flap with a scissor to form the tail. Click here for a step-by-step folding instruction, and here for a video clip.

The model above is a modification of the classic bird bases swallow model. I formed the tail using point-splitting technique which I learned from Robert J. Lang Origami Design Secrets, so no cutting was done.
