Jesus calming the sea: two subjects, one paper

In Other models on August 9, 2013 by romi

Some origami models feature two or more subjects folded on a single sheet of paper. Examples include David Mitchell’s cormorant on a rock; Chris Alexander’s dog howling at the moon; and Scott Wasserman Stern’s flower with stem and grass. One complex model is Neal Elias’s boxpleated masterpiece entitled ‘Liopio’s Moment of Truth’ which includes a bull, bullfighter and a cape. Take a look also at Tadashi Mori’s dancing origami showing a pair of dancers.

Here’s my attempt at this type of origami, featuring a human figure and boat. This simple model looks like Jesus calming the sea. 🙂 Here, I used a rectangular paper with the proportion 1:2.
