creepy creatures…Happy Halloween!

The figure on the left, folded from the multiform base, is my interpretation of the “manananggal”, a popular vampire figure in Philippine mythology. He/she is an ordinary person at daytime, but at night especially on a full moon, bat wings sprout on his/her back. She detaches his/her upper torso and flies to look for a victim. Usually, the manananggal is depicted as a woman, but there are males, too.

The one on the right is an unfriendly ghost. 🙂

Happy Halloween, folks!
