I’m an origami enthusiast from the Philippines. This site features my original origami creations. So far, I’ve been making simple, easy-to-fold models, without cutting or glueing the paper.
Creating original origami models, as opposed to folding an existing design, is a way to exercise or train the mind to think of possibilities within a given constraint, even to think out of the box.
How do I create original origami models? Largely, by simply ‘doodling’. I play around with the traditional bases, purposeful at times — with a particular subject in mind. Sometimes, I try to come up with my own base. Some of my creations are variations of the classic designs, such as the starbox, kabuto, flapping bird and masu box.
My knowledge and skills in paper folding are greatly enhanced by books and e-resources on origami designing.
