dragon from a rectangular paper

This model was folded from a rectangular paper of size 1 x 2. First, the paper is folded in half such that one of the shorter sides is aligned with the opposite side. This divides the paper into two squares. Each square is then folded into a waterbomb base. I call the resulting fold a ‘twin waterbomb base’. I’ve used this base before to make a turtle. And if you’ve been following my dragon model series, The Dragon in My Mind, you’d guess from the shape of the wings that I also applied the fish base here.

The model on the left is a slight variation in terms of the way the tail is folded, and the angle of the neck. A smaller paper was used here. Although this looks less neat, I prefer its looks. 🙂
